Plug-In ECUs are a complete replacement for standard engine control units that do not require new wiring. They come with a vehicle-specific base configuration. All Link Plug-In ECUs use the same powerful microcontroller and firmware as the XtremeX. The G4X PlugIn ECUs offer the latest technology in engine management and are designed to unlock the full potential of your vehicle. This ECU fits the factory OEM mounting location. Installation is a breeze as no changes to the original wiring harness are required for the models listed below.
This product supports the following models:
- 2007-2014 WRX and WRX STI with GR/GV/GH/GE body codes for JDM/AUDM/SADM/EURO markets with turbocharged EJ20 or EJ25 engines
- 2008-2010 USDM models with the common international Denso ECU pinout**
- 2015-2021 WRX STI with VAB/VAF body codes for JDM/AUDM/SADM/EURO markets with turbocharged EJ20 or EJ25 engines

USDM models from 2011 are supported by our WRX11 USDM ECU.

- Please check before purchase if your connector matches the header shown in the product photo
- This control unit is only suitable for vehicles with manual transmission
- An air temperature sensor is highly recommended
- Most factory functions are supported, including DCCD, hill start assist, SI-Drive, cruise control, camshaft adjustment, and ABS

- The security/immobilizer warning light may remain on permanently in some models

- Synchronization and crank sensors can be a combination of Hall effect, variable reluctance, or optical
- Boost control based on gear, speed, or throttle position
- 512 megabytes of data logging memory
- Staged injection
- Knock control with "windowing" technology
