What does a turbocharger overhaul mean
An overhaul is the repair and maintenance service of the turbocharger. The turbo comes back to a new condition. All work is carried out strictly according to the manufacturer's specifications. We only use original components and latest technology to give you the best result.
Note: We do not carry out any work on vehicles. This means that we neither remove nor install turbochargers. Please speak to your authorised workshop.
The overhaul process
Cleaning
We disassemble your turbocharger and clean it thoroughly. Housings are sandblasted after cleaning in order to loosen rust and strongly adhering dirt. The bearing housing is treated in a special ultrasonic bath in order to free even the smallest channels in the interior of dirt particles.
Renewal
After visually inspecting all cleaned components, we will use new bearing(s), gaskets and other new hardware. We also use new screws and brackets for mounting here.
Finebalancing
The assembled turbo cartridge / CHRA is balanced on our state of the art high speed balancing machine. We balance the turbocharger at speeds of 100-200,000 rpm, just like in operation. All balancing specifications of the manufacturer are respected or better performed.
Installation
All clean, refurbished and repaired parts are assembled with new screws. If the turbocharger has an actuator or a VTG control, it will be checked and adjusted according to the manufacturer's specifications. The turbocharger is then tested once again on the test bench to ensure correct function.
