Plug-In ECUs are a complete replacement for standard engine control units that do not require new wiring. They come with a vehicle-specific base configuration. All Link Plug-In ECUs use the same powerful microcontroller and firmware as the XtremeX. The G4X PlugIn ECUs offer the latest technology in engine management and are designed to unlock the full potential of your vehicle. This ECU fits the factory OEM mounting location. Installation is a breeze as no modifications to the original wiring harness are required for the models listed below.

Designed for the WRX V10 EJ25. These control units cover 2.5L engines from 2004 to 2007.

• Please check before purchasing if your connector matches the header shown in the product photo, and note the italicized notes below.
• This control unit is only suitable for vehicles with manual transmission
• An air temperature sensor is highly recommended
• Most factory functions are supported

Suitable applications for the Automotive Computer Unit 224-4000:

• WRX104X predominantly covers the years 2004-2006
• WRX107X (listed separately) predominantly covers the 2007 model year
• However, some 2006 models require the WRX107X

• The fastest and most reliable method to distinguish is to check if pins A1-3 are occupied.
• If the pins have wires, you need the WRX104X - if no wires are present, the WRX107X.
• Suitable for GD or GG body with drive-by-wire. Not suitable for GR/GH/GE/GV Hatchback or 3rd generation WRX.

There are two different options for the expansion connectors, depending on whether it is a control unit from 2004-2006 or 2006-2007.
Control unit 2004-2006:
The following inputs/outputs are available on the expansion connector:

• Blank - AN Volt 11
• An Temp 4 - Temperature sensor input
• Blank - No function
• Blank - AN Volt 12
• Blank - No function
• Blank - No function
• +5V Out - Low current +5V supply
• Gnd - Sensor ground only

Control unit 2006-2007:
The 2006-2007 V10 control unit has an 8-pin expansion connector.
The following inputs/outputs are available:

• Aux 11 - AUX output
• An Temp 4 - Temperature sensor input
• Aux 12 - AUX output
• Volt 11 - Analog 0-5V input
• Aux 13 - AUX output
• DI 11 - Digital input
• +5V Out - Low current +5V supply
• Gnd - Sensor ground only
