Intake air / charge air temperature sensor / 140°C / M6, 1mm
Bosch Performance sensor for seasuring charge air / intake air temperature
Compatible with our Displays / Gauges
When it comes to engine sensors, exhaust temperature measurement is often prioritized, but it’s also important to monitor boost pressure, intake air, charge air, or ambient temperature.
Charge air measurement is particularly interesting, especially before and after the intercooler. This allows for an assessment of whether the installed intercooler is functioning efficiently.
This sensor is designed for measuring air temperature, such as in the air filter housing or for ambient temperature. The signal can be used as a control parameter for engine control units or as a value recorded in a data acquisition system. The NTC sensor element has a negative temperature coefficient, meaning its conductivity increases as the temperature rises. The sensor element consists of semiconductor heavy metal oxides and oxidized mixed crystals, all protected in a housing. The main advantage of this sensor is its combination of high-quality production with a robust, compact design.

These thermistors allow for precise temperature measurement when paired with suitable evaluation circuits. Depending on the housing design, these sensors are suitable for measuring temperatures in liquids and gases. In vehicles, they are used to measure the temperature of engine oil, coolant, fuel, intake air, and gas within a range of -40 to 150°C.
Note:
For a 2-pin connector, one connector housing, two contact pins, and two individual seals are required.
For automotive applications, original Tyco crimp tools should be used.
