This Forge Motorsport turbo actuator has been specifically developed for the Renault 5 GT Turbo and Renault 21 Turbo. Forge Motorsport was among the first manufacturers worldwide to develop and produce billet aluminium two-piece replacement turbo actuators. Originally designed for applications such as the Ford Cosworth, Renault 5 GT Turbo and Lancia Integrale, Forge Motorsport now offers one of the most extensive actuator ranges available for performance and motorsport applications.

The actuator is manufactured from high-quality 6026 grade billet aluminium and is designed to provide improved boost control, faster turbocharger response and increased reliability compared to the factory actuator. Each unit is vehicle and turbo specific and built to order in the United Kingdom. Depending on the application, both piston and diaphragm operated versions are available.

The internal diaphragm uses Nomex reinforced flurosilicone material for high durability and temperature resistance, while all actuator rods are manufactured from 303 grade stainless steel. Laser-cut stainless steel brackets are included where applicable.

Forge Motorsport actuators are supplied with a pre-configured spring designed for factory or slightly increased boost levels. For tuned vehicles or applications requiring increased boost pressure, stronger spring options are available upon request. The actuator allows precise boost management and fine adjustment for optimized turbocharger performance.

Please note that spring pressure ratings refer to the mechanical spring specification only and mainly apply to older turbocharged engines without ECU or solenoid-controlled boost regulation. Modern electronically controlled turbo systems may require different spring configurations depending on the engine management setup and desired boost pressure.

Piston-sealed internals are optionally available and offer low maintenance operation combined with excellent durability. This Forge Motorsport design provides similar performance characteristics to diaphragm-based systems while offering increased wear resistance.
