The GBT-61 is the medium turbocharger in the Owen Developments range. This turbocharger is usually for engines with 1.8 up to 3.0L. It is designed for HP ratings from 360 up to 650 HP. One advantage is that the compressor housing MA5 and MA7 can be swapped without any problems.

All GBT turbochargers come standard with a red anodized compressor wheel, black anodized backplate, water cooled bearing housing and milled compressor housing with anti surge channels. But there are also a lot of options to customize GBT turbocharger according to any concepts.

As a special option the following options can be ordered (on request):
- Air cooled bearing housing (+119.00 €)
- Silver anodized compressor wheel with silver anodized backplate
- without Highflow / Anti Surge

The Product:
The range consists of three frame sizes: 54mm, 61mm and 69mm. This figure is the largest diameter (inducer) of the turbine wheel blades. The second two numbers refer to the compressor wheel exducer diameter (e.g. GBT5471 would be a 54mm frame with a 71HTA compressor wheel). The compressor cover sizes have individual model names: Ma3, Ma5 and Ma7.

Turbocharger remanufacturing has been a mainstay of Owen Development’s activity for nearly three decades. In this capacity Owen Developments is the official remanufacturer for Hyundai UK, as well as being an approved remanufacturer for Mitsubishi, Subaru, Isuzu, Daihatsu and Toyota.
