The sandwich plate is mounted under the oil filter. The oil flowing to the oil filter is tapped off and first passed through the oil cooler and then through the oil filter.
This oil filter adapter is without thermostat. Thus the oil is always led through the oil cooler. The adapter (other article) is also available with a thermostat, so that the diversion of the oil is not diverted until the operating temperature is reached.
The included filter screw is equipped with a M18x1.5 thread and fits most vehicles.
