Pulverized volcanic Lava rock (continuous-filament basalt) for an outer layer, internal insulation with high temperature calcium magnesium silicate wool, silicone impregnated fiberglass, a high temperature silica fabric, Kevlar stitching (won't fray, melt, or give way under harsh conditions) - some materials military grade composites and properties.
Depending on the product and model the Interior Surface are made to withstand Maximum Temperature Ratings of up to 1.200°C and have a Continuous Use Limit of up to 1.000°C. The Exterior Surface is suitable - depending on the product - for a Direct Contact Limit up to 980°C and a Radiant Heat Limit up to 1370°C.
