Protectes the wastegate actuator against heat from the turbine and exhaust manfiold
Note: With some modifiactions to the heat shield also suitable for Garrett turbochargers with int. WG and many other manufacturers of internal wastegate actuators! Wastegate Actiator on the pictures are not included!
TurboZentrum recommends using EFR heatshields when the EFR wastegate canister is located very close to the manifold. The heat from the manifold can melt the inside of the canister and cause boost to drop.
