SIMONS silencers enjoy the reputation of having a high level of noise insulation. We have used them in several vehicles with a surprisingly pleasant sound.
All silencers are made of stainless steel with stainless steel connections.
Made in Sweden (not a China product)
No TÜV identification or similar. Only racing use or special acceptance according to §21- ForTÜV special entries.
What does quiet mean?
We compared the SIMONS silencers with silencers from other manufacturers and measured the volume. In all tests the SIMONS dampers were the ones with the best noise insulation. The test only compares absorption silencers, i.e. continuous silencers without chambers. Silencers with chambers are even quieter, only counterproductive in terms of engine power.
Which silencer is best suited?
The larger the volume of the silencer, the more it dampens. Make the most of the space you have under the vehicle and choose the largest dampers. We have found that oval dampers are quieter than round ones.
Round silencer or middle silencer?
Since our silencers are completely continuous, they can be used as front, middle or rear silencers.
