Why Overhaul or Upgrade?

During the optimization, a standard-turbocharger gets a new milled impeller, which is much lighter and optimizes flow. In addition, a special friction bearing is installed, which has a special coating with the highest dry-running properties. Thanks to the optimization your turbocharger performs significantly better and will have a longer life.

Stage 1

Longer lifetime, no ECU programming required, but works well with chiptuning. Available for almost any turbocharger at an affordable price, giving up to 15% greater efficiency. You can run the stock power output with lower boost pressure, or achieve up to 15% more power.

When you want longer life and a little more power

The Stage 1 optimization has two steps: the optimization of the bearing for more durability and the optimization of the compressor wheel for improved performance. In both, we make sure that the tags remain close to production. No programming of the ECU will be necessary and all installation instructions of the manufacturer and service intervals can be maintained.

The bearing

A series turbocharger, that normally uses plain bearing, is upgraded with a special friction bearing. It has a special coating with the highest dry-running properties and bridges the lack of lubrication during the cold start of the engine. Sometimes there are moments when the turbocharger doesn't receive the full oil pressure and the bearing is not lubricated sufficiently. This usually causes gradual damage to the turbocharger over the long term. Thanks to the new bearing,this wear is significantly reduced, and extends the life of your turbocharger.

The compressor wheel

With the Stage 1 Optimization, the turbocharger gets a new milled impeller which is optimized for the flow and, above all, lighter. These billet compressor wheels are found today in every new racing turbocharger. Since such a wheel is machined from forged aluminium, it is also more stable and thus more resilient at higher boost pressures. The optimization does not reach the extreme performance of a larger compressor wheel, but the performance is slightly improved and is especially suitied to a chiptuned engines. Furthermore, the turbo lag is reduced. The compressor of a Stage 1 turbocharger is up to 15% more efficient, reducing the temperature increase of the charged air.

The delivery time

For many turbochargers we can realize a Stage 1 optimization within one business day, excluding shipping times. The special thing about us is we can optimize almost any turbocharger on the market. For models for which we have no components, the development time is only 1 to 4 weeks.

The advantages of Stage 1

The performance of the turbocharger and its lifetime will be improved. If one or more of the following statements apply to you, Stage 1 is right for you.

I want my turbocharger to build up the boost pressure earlier
The milled aluminum compressor wheel is much more stable than the comparable version made ??of cast aluminum and can therefore be made ??thinner. With the thinner manufacturing the new compressor Wheel loses weight. Due to the low inertia of the compressor wheel rotates easily and thus boost pressure builds up faster.

I want to gain a little more power with my turbocharger
The optimized compressor wheel will move a larger amount of air through the compressor side of the turbocharger. This more air ultimately generates more power.

I want a durable turbocharger with a longer lifetime
The special bearing has a special coating on a special carrier material. On the basis of this combination, the bearing is able to bridge short moments of no lubrication. This lack of lubrication occurs inevitably at every cold start and other situations during the period of engine use. The new bearing increases the lifetime of your turbocharger.

Stage 2

Maximum performance with the same external dimensions, longer lifetime, at an affordable fixed price. Available for almost any turbocharger, with up to 40% more efficiency and power.

If you want maximum performance to be Plug and Play

A Stage 2 optimization differs to a Stage 1 optimization only in the size of the compressor wheel. That sounds simple enough, but the process is quite extensive. In the first step, our experts can find out which wheel dimensions fit into the compressor housing, perfectly complementing the housing and turbocharger. Some turbo upgrades are a selection of a possible part, but without much concern for the resulting performance. Since we are able to mill compressor wheels according to our specifications, we can offer the combinations that gives the best performance.

The large compressor wheel

In the Stage 2 Optimization a compressor is selected or customized, that is larger than the standard built wheel. Which size is used depends on the feasibility of each turbocharger. Please ask us if we have already developed a Stage 2 optimization for your turbocharger. The large compressor wheel is state of the art. Optimized flow, with a slim hub, optimal number of buckets and extended tip technology.

The compressor housing

To provide the large compressor wheel enough space, the compressor housing is machined by 5 axis CNC. Contours and gap dimensions are optimized, so that the new, larger air flow rate is also used optimally.

The bearing

As in the case of Stage 1, the bearing is replaced with a special friction bearing, which has a special coating with the highest dry-running properties and bridge the lack of lubrication during cold starts of the engine.

For many turbochargers we can realize a Stage 2 optimization already within 3-6 business days, excluding shipping times. If we don't have specific parts in stock, the development time is only 4-6 weeks.

What should be considered in the Stage 2 optimization

A Stage 2 optimization developes significant power in contrast to the standard turbocharger. Individual tuning is required in every case. Likewise, further modifications have to be made depending on the vehicle model and engine type.

The advantages of Stage 2

The focus of Stage 2 optimization is clearly on performance. In addition, of course, the lifetime is improved. Whether it makes sense for you, you have to decide. If one or more of the following statements apply to you, Stage 2 is right for you.

If you want maximum performace to be Plug and Play
The Stage 2 optimization uses the largest possible compressor wheel while retaining the original exhaust and compressor housings, so the installation is the same as the stock turbo.

Chip Tuning alone isn't enough for me, I want to tune my vehicle individually
The air mass flow, which is increased by a Stage 2 optimization, is much higher than that of the serial turbocharger. Custom engine tuning is required in every case.
